BRIEFS, FEES & SCHEDULES Mediation Briefs: Mediation briefs are extremely important to the mediation process. A detailed brief which includes key portions of the medical records or reports of experts allows the Dr. Rudd to be well versed on the subject matter of the mediation before its start. All briefs will be studied and, if necessary, outside research on the medical issues will be done in advance of the mediation. In addition to the scientific/medical aspects of the case, if available, the briefs should include an economic analysis of damages and information regarding any prior settlement discussion in the matter. All of this allows the actual time spent in mediation to be more productive and hopefully more fruitful.
